Denne kritikerroste forestillingen er årets hit i Europa! Og nå har vi gleden av å presentere den sensasjonelle forestillingen her, i Sirkuslandsbyen! Petit Mal kombinerer det tradisjonelle, myke formspråket vi kjenner fra sirkus med en planløs, voldelig råskap, svart humor og kollisjoner, tilsynelatende tilfeldig satt sammen til en ikke-historie.

UNDERGRUNNSSIRKUS
Med sine ekstreme fysiske vågestykker og svarte humor har Race Horse Companys Petit Mal tatt Europa med storm. Forestillingen har spilt for fulle hus på nysirkusfestivaler i både Storbritannia, Danmark og Sverige, og høstet strålende kritikker.
En trampoline, et virvar av gamle bildekk, plankebiter og store baller fyller scenen, og gjennom en voldsom og energisk blanding av akrobatikk, breakdance og tilsynelatende dumdristighet tegnes et bilde av en fragmentert verden, hvor det er opp til enhver å skape sin egen sammenheng.
Det finske kompaniet Race Horse Company utfordrer, dekonstruerer og knuser alle kunstneriske konvensjoner med Petit Mal, en forestilling som er så langt fra sukkerspinnsirkus som det er mulig å komme.
Petit Mal er undergrunn, det er mørkt, skittent og rått. Det er opprør, ødeleggelse, Bob Dylan, Las Vegas og Elvis. Det er sirkus.

Petit Mal is, however, far from show wrestling: it is absolutely, stunningly skilful and amusing, but also delicate and fragile performance art.”
